The Professional Insurance Agents of New York State Inc. said it will present Colleen Parmelee with its Industry Professional of the Year award during its annual Hudson Valley Regional Awareness Program.
The Hudson Valley Regional Awareness Program will take place Oct. 23 in Tarrytown, N.Y.
Ms. Parmelee is a commercial-lines territory manager for Harleysville Insurance Co. and a member of its eastern New York team. Her territory responsibilities include agency management, marketing and large account underwriting for eight of Harleysville's largest New York agents.
The award is given to an individual who has demonstrated qualities that foster a strong working relationship with agents and brokers, and who best exemplifies a commitment to professionalism and service, the association said.
“Throughout her career, Ms. Parmelee has demonstrated a respect for her colleagues and customers in the insurance industry,” said Donna Chiapperino, chairwoman of the Hudson Valley RAP Committee and PIANY first vice president. “This award reflects her dedication to the insurance industry throughout New York's Hudson Valley region.”
