The Applied Systems Client Network (ASCnet) has announced Mike Montgomery as its new chairman, and has elected additional officers for 2009.
Mr. Montgomery is associate development consultant for the Lockton Companies in Kansas City, Mo. He is responsible for training more than 2,000 associates on the proper use of Applied Systems, and he also designs, reviews and updates the brokerage's training curriculum to ensure employees are updated on current software.
He has also served as president of the Midwest Applied Systems Users Network, and as ASCnet's Region 7 director.
ASCnet also elected John Lincoln as vice chairman. Mr. Lincoln worked at Lloyd's for 14 years before moving to the agency/brokerage side of the business, where he has since led several agencies/brokerages. He has been involved with ASCnet for the past 11 years, and joined the board several years ago.
Christine Forbes, vice president of The Daniel and Henry Company in St. Louis, will be secretary of ASCnet. At Daniel and Henry, she oversees the technology and training departments. She has served on the ASCnet board for the past three years.
Joseph F. Robinson, chief financial officer and chief information officer of Paul Hertel & Company in Philadelphia, will be treasurer of ASCnet. He has consulted with insurance agencies for more than two decades on agency management system acquisitions, in addition to managing his firm's financial and automation functions as well as selling insurance.
He has also held several leadership posts at the East Penn Users Group, including president, and has served on the ASCnet board of directors
Kim Favreau, commercial lines manager for Connell & Curley Insurance Agency in Natick, Mass., will become immediate past-chair.
