The Risk and Insurance Management Society will host a pair of webinars Thursday and Friday to explore the fallout from the near collapse of American International Group, exploring the potential impact on the insurance market and on corporate buyers.

Part one of the pair–”Risk Management Strategies in an Unsettled Financial Market: The Insurer's Perspective”–will take place Thursday, Sept. 25 from 1:00-to-2:00 p.m. EST. The moderator will be Sam Friedman, editor-in-chief of National Underwriter. Speaking will be:

o John Doyle, president and chief executive officer of Commercial Insurance at AIG.

o Ruud Bosman, executive vice president of FM Global.

o Mike Foley, CEO of the North American Business Division at Zurich.

Among the topics to be discussed:

o What assurances can you give to your policyholders regarding the stability of your company?

o Why should risk managers be comfortable placing or renewing coverage with your business?

There will be an opportunity for registrants to ask questions.

This webinar would be moderated by Bill Coffin, publisher and editorial director at Risk Management magazine, published by RIMS. Participants will include:

o Eric Andersen, CEO of U.S. retail at Aon Risk Services.

o Don Bailey, CEO of Willis North America.

o Dan Glaser, chairman and CEO at Marsh Inc.
