Austin, Texas-based agency cluster group Combined Agents of America, LLC said the Garrett Insurance Agency Inc. of Bellaire, Texas, has joined the group as the 36th member agency.
The firm said the Garrett Insurance Agency was established in Kerrville, Texas, in 1918 by W. G. Garrett Jr. and L. D. Garrett and is led now by Robert L. Schmerbeck III and Stephen R. Schmerbeck, third- and fourth-generation members of the Garrett family. The agency provides personal and business insurance products for area residents.
Combined Agents of America, a managing general agency cluster group, said it generated over $387 million in property-casualty premiums in 2007. The firm was founded in 1997.
