GG-One Software, Inc., has launched iFastrack, the Internet version of the company's Fastrack software for reducing business risk by tracking insurance certificates and documents. The iFastrack software allows companies to manage over the Internet their risk from uninsured contractors, vendors, and tenants. While most companies require proof of insurance at the onset of a contract, few track the insurance certificate to ensure policies haven't lapsed and continue to meet required limit minimums. Without this protection, companies could be held responsible for substantial damages caused by contractors. The iFastrack software reduces exposure from nonemployee work accidents by providing automated review and notification of missing/expired policies along with ensuring limits meet minimum requirements.
"The use of contractors by businesses is a necessary practice, and although one might assume the contractor carries proper insurance, it's not always true," says Phyllis Recca, CEO of GG-One. "Recent catastrophic accidents such as the Minneapolis bridge failure, Boston's Big Dig collapse, and the crane accidents in Manhattan were caused by contractors and demonstrate the need to ensure contractor insurance is valid. "With iFastrack, companies easily can provide access to information regarding the insurance status of contractors to offices anywhere in the world."
