The Los Angeles-based Latin American Agents Association is proud to announce its first annual Latinos and Insurance Symposium aimed at assisting producers and companies to more effectively market to the Latino insurance consumer.

The event is scheduled for Oct. 19-21 at the Long Beach Renaissance Hotel in Long Beach, Calif.

“We decided it was time to bring together experts in the fields of Latino consumerism, marketing and economic growth and create a comprehensive program geared specifically toward realizing the potential of Latino clients and developing strategies and products that can be successfully integrated into a Latino-based business plan,” said LAAA founder and chief executive officer Andre Urena.

The event will feature a full day of seminars on Oct. 20, covering topics such as “Who is the Latino Client?” “Latino Economic Power,” “Technology and the Latino Client,” “Understanding The Generation Gap–Traditions vs. Assimilation,” “Financial Planning in the Latino Household,” “Product Development For Latino Customers,” and “Marketing to the Latino Consumer.”

The seminars will focus on how each topic relates to the business of insurance.

The event will also feature a number of speakers with unique perspectives and experience in the insurance field. The list includes Terry Soto, president and CEO of About Marketing Solutions; Leonor McCall-Rodriguez, president and founder of One Voice Insurance Services; and David Morse, president and CEO of New American Dimensions, LLC.
