The Target Markets Program Administrators Association in Wilmington, Del., will hold its eighth annual summit on Oct. 13-15, 2008 in Tempe, Ariz, with Newt Gingrich slotted to deliver a keynote address.
Mr. Gingrich is a former Speaker of the U.S. House of Representatives, author of "Contract with America," and Time magazine's 1995 Man of the Year.
Greg Thompson, TMPAA Association president said, "Newt Gingrich is one of the most recognizable names in U.S. politics." The group is excited to have Mr. Gingrich to share any last minute thoughts on the November election and the possible implications for the insurance industry, Mr. Thompson added.
The keynote address by Newt Gingrich is sponsored by TMPAA carrier member Zurich North America Commercial.
In a press statement, Jino Masone, Zurich NA's chief marketing officer-programs business, stated, "We believe that the TMPAA continues to play an increasingly important role in the program business segment of the insurance industry. Zurich is very pleased to support Target Markets by sponsoring a speaker who has played an important role in U.S. political history."
In addition to Mr. Gingrich, decision-makers from over 45 program carriers will be presenting their program strategies and appetites and meeting with attendees to discuss program business opportunities during the October Summit.
The association also plans an M&A panel discussion and program-specific workshops addressing topics chosen by member agencies.
