Overland Park, Kan.-based Lockton insurance brokerage said Joseph Ziegler has been named chief operating officer for Lockton Affinity a specialty insurance program administrator.
Mr. Ziegler in his new role is responsible for the daily operations of the firm, including sales, marketing, client solutions, underwriting, accounting, claims and program management, the company said.
Lockton Affinity provides specialty insurance program administration for associations, franchises and affinity groups.
Steve Eginoire, Lockton Affinity chairman, said Mr. Ziegler has “a winning reputation with our clients and our associates” and “will play a leading role in the growth and development of our services for franchisors, associations and other affinity groups in the coming years.”
Mr. Ziegler succeeds Marianne Sears, who will continue with the firm as executive vice president of operations. Ms. Sears has been with Lockton for over 20 years and will continue to oversee information technology, rating and processing.
Mr. Ziegler's career at Lockton began 10 years ago as an entry-level technical services administrator, handling an array of duties for clients, the company said. He most recently worked with clients to design and market their programs as vice president-program executive for Lockton Affinity.
