Aon Middle East announced that the brokerage has opened its regional headquarters in the Dubai International Finance Centre, in the United Arab Emirates.
The announcement was made after the company was granted a full license to operate within the DIFC.
Aon said the new regional headquarters will "allow clients to link into the worldwide Aon network across 120 countries, combining global presence with specific country expertise that can facilitate the most complex of cross-border transactions."
Aon said it now has operational offices in the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman, and developing offices in Kuwait and Qatar.
Latif AlRayes, chairman of Aon's Middle East operations, said, "We are very pleased to have received our DIFC license, and with the free zone fast moving toward its goal of becoming the fourth major world financial hub, it makes sense for us to locate our regional headquarters here."
