Brown & Brown Acquires Alpha Benefits Group

Daytona Beach, Fla.-based insurance brokerage Brown & Brown Inc. said it has acquired employee benefits broker Alpha Benefits Group Inc. of Plymouth Meeting, Pa. Terms of the deal were not released.

With annualized revenues of approximately $5 million, Alpha Benefits Group primarily offers individual and group employee benefits insurance products and services to clients throughout Pennsylvania, New Jersey and Delaware, Brown & Brown said.

Robert D. Heller, president of Alpha Benefits, and his team will continue to operate from their current offices in Plymouth Meeting, Mechanicsburg and Lehigh Valley, Pa., as a free-standing Brown & Brown operation.
