New York-based insurance brokerage Marsh said it has acquired the claims and dispute resolution business from the consulting firm Nielsen-Wurster. Terms of the deal were not released.

Marsh, a subsidiary of Marsh & McLennan Companies, said the acquisition would "enhance its construction dispute and advisory capabilities" with the firm's Forensic Accounting and Claims Services.

According to the brokerage, the move will bring the total number of professionals at FACS to 50 employees including professional engineers, certified public accountants, project managers, schedule experts, architects, attorneys and contract specialists.

Nielsen-Wurster, with seven U.S. offices, one in Brazil and one in Italy, has provided management consulting, risk management and dispute resolution services for the past 30 years, beginning in Seattle. More than 30 Nielsen-Wurster associates will join Marsh, including Reza Nikain, president of the firm.

Mr. Nikain will be responsible for leading the growth of the firm's construction claims and dispute resolution services, Marsh said.
