The Professional Insurance Agents of New York Inc. (PIANY) will present its "Professional Agent of the Year" award to N. Stephen Ruchman, president of Ruchman Associates Inc. in Rockville Centre, N.Y.
The association cited Mr. Ruchman's "excellence and achievement in insurance marketing and service, his personal commitment to professionalism, and his contributions to PIA and the community."
Mr. Ruchman has been a PIANY member since 1978, and served as the association's president in 2004-2005. He currently serves as chairperson of the association's Long Island Advisory Council, and is also a member of PIANY's nominations and membership/programs committees. Additionally, he is a member of the governing and executive branches of PIANY's political action committee.
PIANY said the award will be presented to Mr. Ruchman at the PIANY/PIANJ Joint Annual Conference in Atlantic City, N.J, June 9.
