The Denver office of Kansas City, Mo.-based insurance broker Lockton Companies, LLC, said it has acquired Schwander Insurance Services of Centennial, Colo. Terms of the deal were not released.
Schwander Insurance specializes in the area of executive risk management, including directors and officers liability, fiduciary liability and employment practices liability.
Michael Schwander, Schwander Insurance chief executive officer and president, and five employees will join Lockton.
Mr. Schwander will become executive vice president at Lockton Denver. Lockton said he has 28 years of experience in the insurance brokerage business, most of that time in senior management positions at the insurance brokerage firm Aon Corp., where he engaged in numerous specialties and became a national expert in complex directors and officers liability.
