Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. announced the acquisition of Life Insurance Strategies, based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Terms of the deal were not released.
J. Patrick Gallagher Jr., chairman, president and chief executive officer, said in a statement that acquisition of Life Insurance Strategies would expand Gallagher's capabilities within the life insurance marketplace and complement its employee benefit's suite of products.
The Gallagher firm said Life Insurance Strategies is a life insurance broker that provides life insurance programs for estate planning, charitable giving and familial bequests, and arranges premium financing of large life insurance policies for high-net-worth clients in the Southeast. The acquired firm was founded in 2003.
Peter Dellapina, the principal, and his associates will continue to operate in their current location under the direction of David Ziegler, eastern regional executive vice president of Gallagher's employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations.
