Insurity, a ChoicePoint company, has introduced an enhanced version of its Reporting Decisions product–a data warehouse and reporting solution–to the market. The software now includes business-intelligence and analytical capabilities and allows property/casualty insurers to view, organize, and analyze information and disseminate it throughout the company and its distribution channels.

Built on industry-standard Microsoft technologies, it is property/casualty specific and comprised of three main components:

Reporting Decisions Warehouse provides foundational physical and logical insurance data models and data marts.

Reporting Decisions Manager provides report authoring, publication, and distribution capabilities.

Reporting Decisions BI includes online analytical processing (OLAP) cubes, support for business-management scorecards, and the definition of key performance indicators.

"Reporting Decisions is a breakthrough solution because it positions our customers to establish proactively operational and performance benchmarks for their organizations," says Insurity vice president Bill Dochterman. "Our customers will benefit by having their reporting systems alert them to developing trends. More than a reporting tool, it gives insurers control over their business and can be implemented in a short period of time, creating competitive advantage."
