Daytona Beach, Fla.-based insurance broker Brown & Brown said it has acquired Powers & Company Insurance Agents and Brokers of Rocklin, Calif.
Powers & Company, with annualized revenues of more than $11 million, is an insurance agency serving clients in California, Nevada and Arizona.
Richard R. Powers, the president of Powers, and his staff will continue to operate out of their existing office as a new stand-alone Brown & Brown profit center, the brokerage said.
Michael Paschke, regional executive vice president of Brown & Brown, said in a statement that this is the broker's first retail operation in the greater Sacramento, Calif. area. He added that the agency would provide expanded resources and service capabilities for Brown & Brown clients throughout California and the West.
