In its efforts to increase industry efficiency, the National Association of Independent Life Brokerage Agencies (NAILBA) recently has updated the NAILBA Imaging Implementation Guide to reflect changing technology.

"More BGAs, carriers, and technology service providers use imaging technology than ever before," says NAILBA chairman Douglas A. Mishkin. "The NAILBA Imaging Implementation Guide establishes universal industry standards for sending documents electronically that will increase agency efficiency and lower the cost of doing business."

Through the use of this guide, BGAs and carriers will experience improved information security, time management, and process consistency. In addition, agencies are expected to see up to a 50 percent reduction in overnight costs and a significant reduction in photocopy expenses.

"NAILBA's technological leadership has developed an innovative solution to save the industry time and money," says Mishkin. For more information on the NAILBA Imaging Implementation Guide visit www.nailba.org/content/technology/standards.cfm.
