Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has acquired The Splinter Group Inc. of Park Ridge, Ill. Terms of the deal were not released.
Founded in 1948, The Splinter Group Inc. is a retail insurance broker offering risk management, commercial property-casualty, employee benefits and personal lines insurance services to clients in the Midwest. The firm specializes in products and services for the construction and manufacturing industries.
Craig Splinter, principal, and approximately 10 associates will relocate to Gallagher's offices in Itasca under the direction of Thomas J. Gallagher, Midwest Regional Manager of Gallagher's retail property-casualty brokerage operations.
