Lisa Caldwell was named chief operations officer for Aon Consulting Worldwide's U.S. division, a newly created role within Aon Consulting, the firm said today.
As COO she will be responsible for overseeing business operations and major U.S. corporate initiatives. Aon Consulting has 6,335 professionals in 117 offices worldwide, said the parent company, Chicago-based insurance broker Aon Corp.
Aon said Ms. Caldwell, 44, has almost 20 years of industry experience. She was executive vice president of commercial services with BearingPoint prior to joining Aon. Before BearingPoint, she worked for EDS as vice president of solutions consulting and at Deloitte Consulting as a partner. Both BearingPoint and EDS are technology consulting firms.
