Wells Fargo Insurance Services Inc. announced its acquisition today of St. Louis-based Insurance Brokers of America (IBA). Terms of the deal, completed on Feb. 1, were not released.

IBA offers several risk management services, including property-casualty and employee benefits coverages.

IBA partners Robert Concannon, Irene Mitchell, Jack Rowe and Jack Engler will continue their responsibilities under Wells Fargo Insurance Services. The agency's professional staff of 11 will continue serving customers from their current offices in St. Louis.

Wells Fargo Insurance Services, formerly Acordia Inc., is a subsidiary of San Francisco-based bank Wells Fargo & Company.
