CGI Group Inc. and Roy Speed & Ross Ltd. (RSR) have agreed to add RSR vehicle registration data to CGI's AutoPlus suite of products and services. AutoPlus--a personal auto insurance database in Canada--contains more than 30 million policies from more than 70 companies. This consumer database is accessed by approximately 8,000 insurance brokers and agents upward of two million times per year.

"By including our data in the AutoPlus suite of offerings, we will make it much easier for our mutual clients to confirm the identity of the vehicle they insure," says Karey Davidson, president of Roy Speed & Ross. "This is one of a number of initiatives we are working on to bring more value to our clients."

"Automobile theft and fraud places a significant financial burden on the insurance industry and ultimately the consumer," says Wayne Beck, vice president consulting services at CGI. "By incorporating the latest data available, we help all parties, including law enforcement, fight vehicle theft and fraud as well as maximize the auto identification and recovery. RSR's data plays an important part in our service."
