Itasca, Ill-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Leicht General Agency headquartered in Houston. Terms of the deal were not released.
Established in 1992, Leicht General Agency is a wholesale insurance broker and managing general agent. They provide excess and surplus property-casualty coverage including professional and general liability, and other specialty insurance products and services for their retail insurance agent clients throughout Texas.
Beth Leicht, Marshall Leicht, the principals, and their approximately 37 associates will continue to operate out of their current location under the direction of Joel Cavaness, president of Risk Placement Services Inc., a subsidiary of Gallagher.
