The Insurance Accounting & Systems Association (IASA) and Ward Group will partner to offer the 2008 Technology Achievement Award. The award is designed to honor companies demonstrating the most innovative use of technology at an insurance company.
Submissions can be made by anyone, but the companies involved in the project must be an IASA member or associate member, and the project must have achieved a measurable ROI between the dates of Jan. 1, 2006 and Dec. 31, 2007.
Submissions can be made by downloading the application/submission form from the IASA Web site at www.iasa.org. Submissions will be taken until April 15. The projects submitted for consideration will be judged by a panel of industry experts and analysts.
The winner of the 2008 Technology Achievement Award will be presented with a plaque during the association's business luncheon at the 2008 IASA Annual Conference & Business Show at the Seattle (Wash.) Convention Center in June.
Additionally, the project will be highlighted in a white paper written by Ward Group, which will be distributed to insurance industry trade magazines for potential publication and further industry recognition. The winner(s) will have the opportunity to participate in an IASA-sponsored Web seminar detailing the projects and its results.
Winning companies also will receive one complimentary full conference registration for the 2009 IASA Annual Educational Conference & Business Show to be held in Orlando, Fla.
