Itasca, Ill.-based insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Petty Burton Associates Inc. of Montclair, N.J. Transaction terms were not released.
AJG said Petty Burton is a retail insurance broker offering professional liability, commercial property-casualty and workers' compensation insurance products and services for the design professional community, specifically architects, engineers and related construction professionals. The firm was founded in 1992.
Arlene Petty, the principal, and her staff of approximately five will continue to operate from their current Montclair location under the direction of Douglas Brown, northeastern regional manager of Gallagher's retail brokerage services division.
