Insurance broker Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has acquired a California-based agency and completed its previously announced deal for a Pennsylvania-based consulting firm. Terms of both deals were not released.
The Itasca, Ill.-based broker said it has acquired Crist Elliott Machette Insurance Services Inc. (CEM) of Oakland, Calif.
AJG said CEM is a retail insurance broker specializing in the real estate and construction industries offering risk management, commercial property-casualty and personal lines insurance products and services. They were incorporated in 1993.
Michael Machette, the principal, and 15 associates will continue to operate from their current location.
AJG said it closed on its acquisition of Yanni Partners Inc. of Pittsburgh. Yanni Partners, founded in 1989, is an institutional investment consulting firm.
