Aon Limited said Robert Brown has been named chief executive officer of the brokerage's corporate division. Aon Corporate includes the company's commercial insurance (targeting midsized and large United Kingdom businesses), professional services group and Aon trade credit operations.
Mr. Brown joined Aon in 2001 and was most recently head of risk transfer for Aon Global U.K. He was responsible for program design and placement for large U.K. corporate and multinational clients.
He replaces John Thornton, who has left Aon to pursue other opportunities.
