A seminar put on by IASA called "Matches Made in Heaven: Vendor-Insurer Alliances That Work" will be held in Charleston, S.C., on Friday, March 14, at the Francis Marion Hotel, in conjunction with the IASA spring planning meeting.
The program will begin with an overview of the vendor-alliance partnership, with Mark Roth, director of business development for IASA, moderating a panel that includes Rod Travers of Robert E. Nolan Co. and Trae Jones of Appix Consulting.
The second session will look at alliances from the insurance company perspective and will be moderated by Jennifer King, principal of St. Nick Media, and will include Piyush Singh, CIO of Great American Insurance, and Mike Sciole, CIO of Burlington Insurance Group/Guilford Specialty Group.
The final session examines the topic from the vendor viewpoint and will be moderated by Carolee Dagenais, alliance manager for Skywire Software. The panel will include Barry F. Powers, manager insurance industry software sales for IBM; Larry Johnson, director of the insurance sector for TM Floyd; and Dave Hanley, vice president operations and business development for Insurance Systems Inc.
Following the three one-hour sessions there will be a one-hour networking session with refreshments and snacks.
