The National Association of Professional Insurance Agents' agent branding program, promoting "Local Agents Serving Main Street America," has added five additional companies and now includes 50 insurance carriers, PIA said.

"We are pleased that in just over one year since its inception, the PIA Branding Program has grown at an exponential rate," said Len Brevik, executive vice president and chief executive officer of the Alexandria, Va.-based association. "Our branding program has also received four very prestigious awards, including two MarCom Awards."

The five new companies are Bankers Insurance Group, based in Florida; Colonial Cooperative Insurance Company, based in New York; The Cumberland Insurance Group, based in New Jersey; Interboro Mutual Indemnity Insurance Company of New York; and Merchants Insurance Group of New York. All five announced their sponsorship simultaneously, PIA said.

There is no charge for company sponsorship.

The branding program is an advertising and promotional campaign available at no additional cost to all PIA member agencies throughout the nation. The program currently consists of twenty-one print advertisements with 251 variations that PIA members can run in their local publications.
