San Diego-based Barney & Barney insurance brokerage announced that Alice Campbell, president of Campbell Benefits, and her team will join in partnership with B&B today.
Paul Hering, managing principal and chief executive officer of Barney & Barney, said in a statement that Ms. Campbell, who specializes in providing employee benefits insurance solutions, would have the title of principal.
Mr. Hering called Ms. Campbell "a proven leader with a track record of successfully running her own employee benefits insurance brokerage" and noted she had previously worked for Barney & Barney in the 1980s.
He said the brokerage is "pleased to have her back with our firm in this important role. By joining Barney & Barney, we will benefit from her leadership experience, and her clients will be better served by our agency's large staff and customer service support. This partnership will enable us both to continue to do what we do best–serve our clients."
Mr. Hering also commented: "Both Barney & Barney's and Campbell Benefits' Employee Benefits divisions have experienced steady growth in recent years; by bringing our expertise together, we will be able to share resources and best practices. We look forward to having Alice and her employees join our firm."
Ms. Campbell said in the past year Campbell Benefits has been very successful and, "as we've grown, the need to build a stronger infrastructure has become apparent. In order to continue to provide clients with the best quality of service and product, we require more staffing and administrative support. The Campbell Team is pleased to join such a well-established and regarded firm."
B&B said Ms. Campbell and her group will continue to service their current clients. B&B describes itself as San Diego's oldest and largest privately held insurance brokerage and risk management company.
B&B was the National Underwriter's "Commercial Insurance Agency of the Year" in 2006.
