Itasca, Ill.-based Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. said it has acquired Koster Insurance Agency Inc. of Quincy, Mass. Terms of the deal were not released.
Founded in 1994, Koster Insurance is an insurance and risk management agency that develops and administers student health, sports accident and special risk insurance programs for colleges, universities and secondary schools throughout the United States. They also offer health, medical, accident and property insurance geared to the higher education community.
Teresa Koster, the principal, and her associates of approximately 27 will continue to operate in their current location as Gallagher Koster and will become a part of Gallagher's Higher Education Practice Group.
