Lloyd's Chairman Peter Levene and other top corporate executives are due to attend the eighth World Insurance Forum March 17-20, 2008 in Dubai at the Dubai International Financial Centre, it was announced.

Organizers said that growing wealth in the Middle East is driving a high degree of sophistication in financial matters, underscoring the reason to hold the forum in Dubai.

The organizers promised that the meeting will provide an opportunity for business leaders to obtain updates “on matters of pressing global importance from world leaders, senior insurance and reinsurance industry executives, and national policymakers.”

The featured event of the gathering will be its insurance leaders' panel, where six chief executive officers of insurance and reinsurance companies and the broking community will discuss the industry.

Scheduled to appear are:

o Panel moderator Michael Butt of AXIS Capital Holdings

o Jacques Aigrain of Swiss Re

o Greg Case of Aon

o Lord Levene of Lloyds

o Brian O'Hara of XL Capital

o Martin Sullivan of American International Group

The three-day program will be devoted to the “West Meets East” perspective, in which business and insurance leaders from the two hemispheres will gather to find common ground and review their similarities and the challenges they face.
