The Loss Executives Association announced it will host a conference next year that will deal with challenges in claims management and adjusting.

LEA said its 77th annual conference for property-casualty insurance executives will take place January 23-25, 2008at the Grand Hyatt Hotel in Tampa, Fla.

The event will begin with an Executive Forum limited to insurance company property loss management personnel that will present an analysis of some of the challenges faced by those seeking to effectively and efficiently manage claims and policyholder expectations, LEA announced.

The group said titles for Continuing Education credit workshops throughout the two-day event include: "Ethics--Applying the Lessons of Rule School: How to Adjust Claims and Stay Out of Trouble;""Unique Twists, Turns and Challenges--Loss of Market and Make-Up Sales;" "Adjusting Fine Arts & Antiques Claims."

Also, "Managing The High-Profile Fire Loss Investigation While Developing Subrogation in the Face of Complex Competing Interests."

LEA regular members who enroll now can receive discounts, the group said.

Registration fees for regular members are $250. Associate members pay $350 and guests pay $450.

The LEA said its mission is to provide a forum for discussion, study and consideration of common loss adjustment problems to explore options and alternatives. Members are drawn from most large homeowners and commercial property insurance companies and include international members as well as associate memberships for adjusters, attorneys, accountants, engineers and salvors.
