Nicole L. Allen will rejoin the Council of Insurance Agents & Brokers as vice president for industry affairs, the Washington-based association announced today.
Ms. Allen has spent the past five years as a regulatory and legislative expert for Fireman's Fund Insurance Company and its parent, Allianz of America Corp.
She is scheduled to officially rejoin the association Dec. 3.
Ms. Allen began her insurance career in 1992 with the National Association of Professional Insurance Agents in Alexandria, Va., where she worked in government affairs and industry relations for two years before joining CIAB. She initially worked with the association's political action committee and then expanded into state affairs.
She was director of government affairs when she took a similar post with Fireman's Fund in 2002. After three years with Fireman's Fund, Ms. Allen became director of government and external affairs for Allianz of America Corporation. In March of this year, she was named assistant vice president and senior director of government and external affairs for Allianz.
