Insurance broker Brown & Brown said it has acquired a retail agency in Florida and a managing general agency in Oregon. Monetary terms were not announced.
The Daytona Beach, Fla.-based brokerage said the new additions are Wittner National Group Inc. in Pinellas County, Fla., and McFall General Agency Inc. based in Portland, Ore.
Wittner National Group, an agency specializing in employee benefits, has approximately $1.6 million in annual revenue. The agency serves clients throughout Florida.
Wittner National will be combined into Brown & Brown's existing Pinellas County operation under the leadership of Bill Evans.
McFall General Agency, founded in 1981, has revenues of $2.7 million and works in three states out of its two offices in Portland and Gig Harbor, Wash.
The MGA, acquired by Brown & Brown's wholesale broker subsidiary Hull & Company Inc., will add to Hull's presence in the Northwest.
Bob McFall, president of the McFall agency, will remain with the company during the transition and will assume a consulting role thereafter, the firm said.
