Worcester, Mass.-based The Premier Insurance Company of Massachusetts is changing its name to Travelers of Massachusetts.
Dick Welch, president of Premier Insurance Company, said in a statement that the name change was made to leverage the Travelers brand.
Travelers of Massachusetts was established as The Premier Insurance Company of Massachusetts in 1993 to provide personal lines auto insurance.
Travelers of Massachusetts will be the umbrella brand name for all personal insurance policies including auto, homeowners, personal liability, identity theft, wedding and other coverages throughout the state issued by a Travelers company in Massachusetts, the carrier said.
