Wholesale broker Crump Group Inc. has named Dave Obenauer as the company's chief financial officer, replacing Brian Winikoff, who was named president of its life insurance services division.
Both Mr. Winikoff and Mr. Obenauer will report to John Howard, president and chief executive officer of Roseland, N.J.-based Crump Group Inc.
Mr. Howard also served as interim president of the life insurance services after the August acquisition of the retirement, commercial and life insurance divisions of BISYS wholesale services by Crump.
Mr. Winikoff joined the former BISYS Group in 2002 as a vice president of finance in its corporate office and then served as senior vice president and head of finance of its life insurance services division, prior to assuming the role of chief financial officer of the Crump Group.
Mr. Obenauer joins Crump from the insurance brokerage firm Marsh, where he spent the past seven years in a number of roles with increasing responsibility, serving most recently as chief financial officer of Marsh Americas.
Mr. Obenauer was also chief administrative officer for Marsh's wholesale brokerage and underwriting management operations, which at the time included Crump.
Marsh, a subsidiary of New York-based professional services firm Marsh & McLennan, sold Crump to the private equity firm J.C. Flowers & Co. L.L.C. in 2005. Flowers still retains ownership of Crump.
