Wells Fargo Third Party Administrators Inc., a subsidiary of San Francisco-based Wells Fargo & Company, said it has acquired JSL Administrators, a subsidiary of J. Smith Lanier & Co. The purchase cost was not announced.

JSL Administrators has offices in Newnan, Ga., and Fayetteville, N.C. The TPA administers medical, dental and FSA claims for self-insured customers with 100 to 3,000 employees. The firm provides administrative services including claims processing, cost management services and reporting to customers, as well as membership and eligibility maintenance, plan document preparation, and benefit plan consultation.

The firm's staff will continue operating from its current locations, Wells Fargo said.
