Shirley Woods has been name president of Business Management Group Inc., the brokerage consulting firm, it was announced today.
BMG parent company The Hartford Financial Services Group Inc., based in Hartford, Conn., said Ms. Woods replaces Sharon Cunningham, who retired in June.
In addition to being president of BMG, Ms. Woods is also president of The Hartford School of Insurance.
Ms. Woods has more than 20 years experience in agency and company operations. She joined The Hartford in 1992 and has held leadership positions within the sales, underwriting, operations and human resources arenas at the company. In 2000, Ms. Woods became executive director of the Hartford School of Insurance.
BMG provides consulting services to the insurance and financial services industry including agencies, brokerage firms, professional employer organizations, third-party administrators and banks.
