A panel discussion by a group of former insurance superintendents will highlight this year's Downstate Insurance Associations Council conference, the organization said.
Five former New York state insurance superintendents are scheduled to participate in the discussion. The ex-regulators are: Howard Mills, Gregory V. Serio, James Corcoran, Sal Curiale and Al Lewis. They will discuss the topic, "The Insurance Industry: Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow."
The conference is set for Nov. 1 at the Huntington Hilton in Huntington, Long Island, N.Y.
The Downstate Association represents six independent agent groups in New York and Long Island: the Tri-County Independent Agents Association, the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of Suffolk County, CPCU of Long Island, the Council of Insurance Brokers, the Queens County Insurance Professionals, and the Women's Insurance Network of Long Island.
