Aon brokerage said Christa Davies, a former chief financial officer at Microsoft, will be the company's CFO next year.

The Chicago-based brokerage said Ms. Davies, 36, will take her post in March. She will succeed David P. Bolger who will be leaving Aon to become the chief operations officer of the Chicago Olympic Committee. Until her appointment next year, she will join Aon as executive vice president, global finance.

At Microsoft, Ms. Davies was CFO of the platform and services division, which produced annual revenue of $29 billion and operating income of $15 billion, Aon said.

Before joining Microsoft in 2002, she was director of business development and strategic sales for ninemsn based in Sydney, Australia, a joint Australian venture with Microsoft.

Aon also announced today that Randy Wada, chief executive officer of Aon Japan, was named chief diversity officer for Asia Pacific and will serve on the company's global diversity advisory board.

Mr. Wada came to Aon in 1997 as the national managing director for the Japan Group America when Aon acquired Alexander & Alexander. In 1999 he was named CEO of Aon Risk Services Japan Ltd., and took on the added responsibility of Japan country manager in 2004.
