The Jacksonville-based Brightway Insurance Group is on course to meet its goal of opening a new office every month as the company announced it would establish a new agency in Leesburg. Counting the new location, Brightway now operates 20 offices around the state with the goal of having 150 offices throughout the state by 2010. Founded in 2003 through the acquisition of the Jennings Insurance Agency, the company currently has more than 60 employees and has seen its customer base increase from 2,000 to 18,000 over the past three years. The company now represents over $25 million in premiums and, with the coming expansion, is looking to increase its annual premium to over $40 million this year. The company is also looking to expand into other states, including Georgia, Colorado, New Mexico, and Arizona.
Associated Agency Owner Gary Tanner will head up the Leesburg office. Tanner said the new office would be able to produce and manage significantly more business than a traditional insurance agency due to its technical improvements. "An advantage of working with Brightway is that we work closely with our customers to minimize their insurance risks," said Tanner. "This special attention can help save a customer thousands of dollars."
