The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America has released its latest annual Best Practices Study, in which 10 member agencies from the association's New York affiliate, IIABNY, are recognized as top national performers.
IIABNY said the top-ranked New York performers are: Austin & Co. Inc., Albany; First Niagara Risk Management, Buffalo; Gilroy, Kernan & Gilroy, New Hartford; Marshall & Sterling, Poughkeepsie; MGM Associates Insurance, Rochester; Perry & Carroll Inc., Elmira; SKCG Group Inc., White Plains; Spain Agency Inc., Mahopac; Thousand Islands Agency, Clayton; and York International Agency, Yonkers.
According to IIABNY, IIABA surveyed a pool of more than 800 independent agencies across the country, with 195 qualifying as "top national performers."
Bruce Barry, external communications specialist at IIABNY, said, "Of all the states entered, we had the third highest amount of top agencies recognized."
IIABA began the Best Practices Study in 1993. The annual survey and study of independent insurance agencies documents the business practices of the "best" agencies.
