The risk consulting arm of Marsh & McLennan Companies said it has acquired a trial services consulting firm.
Kroll, a subsidiary of the New York-based services firm MMC, said yesterday it acquired TrialGraphix. Terms of the deal were not released.
MMC is the parent company of insurance broker Marsh and reinsurance broker Guy Carpenter.
The Miami-based TrialGraphix will operate as part of the legal technology business of Kroll Ontrack, a provider of electronic and paper document discovery, computer forensics and data recovery services.
With the acquisition, Kroll said it will be able to expand its services to include trial graphics, courtroom presentation technologies and jury consulting services.
TrialGraphix was acquired from the private equity firm Frontenac Company.
TrialGraphix is a consulting firm specializing in discovery, trial consulting and presentation services for trial teams, law firms and corporate counsels. Founded in 1991, the company employs nearly 300 full-time professionals in eight major cities throughout the United States.
