Chicago-based insurance broker Aon Corporation said it has appointed Hamish Roberts with the Jardine Lloyd Thompson group of companies as its global practice leader for its power business. The power business deals with generation and distribution of electricity.
He will be responsible for building Aon's strength and capabilities in this industry sector for the United Kingdom and Americas regions.
Aon said Mr. Roberts will join the company's London office once he has fulfilled his contractual obligations to JLT.
Mr. Roberts has over 20 years experience in the insurance industry and was responsible for the successful growth of JLT's global power business over the last three years, Aon said. Prior to joining JLT, he was managing director at Marsh UK, where he led their power practice group.
