Westrope insurance brokerage announced creation of a transportation division today, which will be located in Kansas City, Mo.

The new wholesale broker will be primarily focusing on securing placement of insurance for all aspects of high-risk commercial transportation, including trucking, garage, paratransit, livery and fleet, Westrope said.

Brad Stubbendieck will serve the transportation division as team leader and broker, and Stephanie Woltemath will shift from her current role as casualty broker to join the new operation as a transportation broker, it was announced. Sandy Shue will serve as the transportation client manager.

“Our commitment to our customers dictates that we continually broaden our product portfolio,” said Kevin Westrope, president, chief executive officer and founder of Westrope.

He added, “Transportation risks present distinct challenges, and our unique team approach, coupled with our strong back office, extensive industry knowledge and key market relationships, will allow us to provide the level of service and solutions our clients expect.”

Westrope is ranked among the top five largest privately held wholesale insurance brokers in the United States. Founded in 1992, the company is now home to more than 140 insurance professionals in seven offices across the country.
