Atlanta-based Assurant Specialty Property, a provider of creditor-placed homeowners insurance and related services to mortgage companies, announced John A. Frobose has been named president of the firm's Lending Solutions business.
He will succeed Gene Mergelmeyer, who was recently promoted to president of Assurant Specialty Property.
Mr. Frobose, of Suwanee, Ga., has served as senior vice president and hazard product line executive for Lending Solutions since October 2005, the company said.
He joined a predecessor company, American Security Group, in 1994, and has served in various management positions, including flood insurance product manager, vice president, mortgage market product management, and national client relationship and hazard business manager.
Michael Campbell, of San Clemente, Calif., was named senior vice president and hazard product line executive, succeeding Mr. Frobose. Mr. Campbell joined Assurant Specialty Property in May 2006 after Assurant Specialty Property acquired Safeco Inc.'s creditor-placed homeowners insurance business.
Assurant Specialty Property's Lending Solutions business provides hazard and flood insurance tracking, escrow disbursement, loss draft tracking and hazard insurance-related customer service to mortgage lenders and their customers.
The company said it presently tracks a portfolio of more than 30 million loans and clients currently include 17 of the top 25 prime loan servicers and 14 of the top 25 subprime loan servicers.
