ACORD and LOMA have announced the official call for speakers for the 2008 ACORD LOMA Insurance Systems Forum, which is scheduled for May 13 to 15, 2008, at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Las Vegas.

The theme for the forum--Transform--focuses on ways attendees can change and evolve their thinking, their business, and their futures to improve both their organizations and themselves for greater success in today's competitive marketplace.

ACORD and LOMA are looking for carriers, distributors, or agents who would like to speak on specific topics of interest, such as: innovative business solutions; case studies; emerging industry trends; new technologies and implementations; new techniques and tactics that improve business operations; strategies for success; the business value of standards; or how standards improve the business and increase efficiency. Solution providers may suggest a client with a case study or success story to tell.

Submissions can be made electronically by following the link located on the 2008 ACORD LOMA Forum Web site (www.acordlomaforum.org). Further enhancing the Forum is a new session track system helping attendees identify more easily presentation selection. Tracks for 2008 are business, executive, technical, and distribution.

The business track will provide insights into how to transform an organization through business innovation, production, and processes; focusing on core competencies; improving effectiveness; and strategic use of data.

The executive track will provide insights into high-level issues confronting the industry and impacting strategic planning, including: globalization, leadership, and the business-IT relationship.

The technical track provides in-depth technical discussions on industry issues and the ways to best implement and utilize technology to gain the greatest advantage.

The distribution track offers insights into distributor, broker, or agent-carrier relationships; distribution channels; customer relations; and customer-carrier relationships.
