The Risk and Insurance Management Society has released its professional development course calendar for the fall 2007 season.

The objective of the program is to educate risk professionals in core areas and the latest tactics, and assist them in developing strong risk and insurance programs.

In 2007, RIMS is organizing 51 courses and workshops compared to its 38 workshops in 2006.

The fall 2007 professional development course calendar features two-day workshops hosted across the United States and Canada. Speakers include experts in areas such as Directors and Officers Liability and Insurance, Enterprise Risk Management for the Advanced Practitioner, Enterprise Risk Management Information Systems and Workers' Compensation Management, just to name a few.

Besides popular favorites, there will be a new course hosted in Spanish on El Proceso de Administracion de Riesgos.

Dates have also been confirmed for the fourth annual 2007 RIMS Enterprise Risk Management Summit, themed Clearing ERM Hurdles, on Nov. 8 and 9 in Toronto.

More than half of RIMS professional development workshops will offer credit toward the RIMS Fellow designation, a certification program for risk professionals.

A complete list of RIMS professional development courses, schedule and dates is available at www.RIMS.org/education. Information about the RIMS Fellow designation is available at www.RIMS.org/aboutRF.
