Chicago-based insurance broker Aon Corp. has named Michael D. O'Halleran executive chairman of Aon Re Global and Ted T. Devine as chief executive officer of the unit.
Mr. O'Halleran is a 21-year Aon veteran. He will shift from his dual role as chairman and CEO of Aon Re Global to focus on the duties of executive chairman.
Mr. Devine, who joined Aon in 2005, served as chief operating officer of Aon Risk Services Americas and head of global strategy. Prior to joining Aon, he served as senior partner and director at McKinsey & Company, where he was a leader of its North American insurance practice as well as North American insurance operations and technology efforts.
