Mark Feuer was named chief executive officer of insurance broker Marsh's U.S. business, a new position in the company.

Mr. Feuer, 38, will continue to lead Marsh's U.S. middle market and small commercial segments. He remains a member of the firm's executive committee, reporting to Brian Storms, Marsh's chairman and CEO. He also reports to Timothy J. Mahoney Jr., Marsh's CEO of the America.

Mr. Feuer joined Marsh, a subsidiary of New York services firm Marsh & McLennan Companies, in 2006 after 10 years with Merrill Lynch.
